Template License Options

Every template on our site comes with the same Word file and the same content. What changes is who at your business may use it.

Single-User License (standard price)

One individual at your business may download, customize and use the template for your business's own projects and customers, as many times as needed.

Company License (about 2.5× the standard price)

Everyone who works for one business, including its employees and the individual contractors who work for it, at all of its locations, may use, customize and share the template internally for that business's own projects and customers, as many times as needed. Affiliated companies under common ownership need their own license.

All-Access Library

A Company License to every template in our library, delivered as a single download of the current editions. The license to those editions does not expire. New editions are not included and no updates are promised; you can buy the library again to get later editions.

Terms that apply to every license

  • You may not resell, sublicense, publish, distribute or share the templates outside your business, or offer them as part of a template, software or data product.
  • If you advise or prepare documents for other businesses (for example, as a consultant), you need a separate license for each client you use a template for.
  • You may upload a template into an AI tool to customize it for your own use, as long as you do not use it to build a product, dataset or service offered to others. See How to Customize Our Templates with AI.
  • Templates are provided as of their edition date and are not updated after purchase.
  • Buying or using a template does not create an attorney-client relationship. Have your final document reviewed by an attorney licensed in your jurisdiction.

These license options are part of our Terms of Use. If they conflict, these license options control as to who may use a template.
