Responsible Managing Employee (RME) Agreement
Responsible Managing Employee (RME) Agreement
Many solar and other types of cleantech companies need a contractor’s license to operate. This often involves either the owner of the company or an employee with a contractor’s license agreeing to be the responsible managing officer or employee, as applicable, for the company’s activities. In order to set up this relationship, it is advisable to have an RME Agreement that defines obligations, expectations, risk and liabilities. This RME Agreement is designed for companies and their RMEs to execute when this type of relationship is desired. See our blog post "Protecting Your Contractor Business: RME Agreements" for more information about this important topic.

This is my 5th purchase for this site. I'm finally writing a review. The docs have been a huge help to getting my business started. I also like the blog.

It was very cursory and didn't include other provisions we wanted in an employment agreement, but we were really looking for the RME specific language to give us a direction on how to document duties and obligations for that particular position and were able to use that portion of the agreement effectively.
