This Residential Solar & Energy Storage System Service and Repair Contract (CA - HIC Long Version) is designed for use in California for service and repair work on solar and energy storage systems when the total contract amount is over $750. This long version of the contract for service and repair work requires a fixed contract price for the work (e.g., no payment on a time and material basis is allowed), deposit limitations, progress payment schedule, notices, and other requirements similar to HICs for solar and/or storage installation agreements. Protections are included for the contractor with respect to liability and warranty work for the pre-existing installation and equipment.
